In a Tech Community post, Ned Pyle, Principal Program Manager for Windows Server confirms the issues. Pyle says that the bug happens when copying large files from a remote computer to a system using Windows 11 2022 Update. He points out that users could see performance drops of up to 40% less throughput. It is worth noting this is for large files weighing multiple gigabytes or more. The simplest way to avoid this issue is to not update to the latest version of Windows 11. Of course, for those who have already installed 22H2, reverting back or waiting for a fix are the only options. Microsoft says it is investigating the issue and working on a fix.

As is normal with any major update, especially one that will roll to hundreds of millions of machines, there are plenty of early bugs with the Windows 11 2022 Update.
